Jordan and I set a great "resolution" or "life changing" goal for 2010. We joined the Tom Landry fitness center affiliated and located on Baylor's hospital campus. It's a great gym and I am really enjoying getting back into classes! So far, I have tried Zumba (loved it), Cardio Kick boxing (kicked my butt), two different pilates classes and today, yoga flow +. The class today was very small and very personal. The instructor right away noticed I was new and introduced herself. The attention didn't stop there, she helped me get into positions, and told me when I was doing something right or wrong. And although it was a little awkward being called out, it was incredibly refreshing that someone cared and I was able to receive some personal attention. The end of the class was the best, with meditation, breathing, and Ohms. I feel great today, but will probably be dying tomorrow.Jordan is enjoying the gym too; his goal for the year is to finish a triathlon so he has been using the gym for cardio workouts and swimming (I also talked him into the cardio kick boxing class--that won't happen again).
In other news, Jordan has been busy with work and studying to take Step 3. He's taking it next Tuesday and Wednesday, and this will be his last medicine licensing exam, yea he will have to take more for radiology. I know this test has been weighing on his mind, and it will be a relief for him to have it over! Until then, I will be practicing my Ohms......
